The Slip Dress

I am the worst ironer in the universe.  Obviously….   Still, though, there is nothing like a slip dress.   It is exquisitely simple, and appropriate for most occasions.  It can be dressed down with sneakers, or up with heels…and then there is everything in between those two footwear options.  Seriously…flip flops to strappy stilettos.  Distressed denim jacket to cashmere sweater.  If I could have only one dress, this would be it.  I actually have two.  One in a washable cupro, and one in 100% silk (both black).  There are so many options, colors, prints, fabrics!  This piece is as versatile as it gets!  I’d like to expand my collection at some point.  For now, here is a round up of a few of my favorite quality options.

An Empire

In the midst of all the confusion and chaos whirling around in the world lately,  I would say the strongest inclination I’m receiving over and over from the depths of my being (The Holy Spirit) is the need for simplicity across all aspects of my life.  I want real, honest, true, grounded…simple.   No faking it, no facades, no fidgeting… I want this in style, in relationships, in character, in faith…in everything.   In the words of country crooner, Maren Morris… “When the bones are good, the rest don’t matter”.

Real, honest, grounded, simple….it’s how to build an empire.  Relationships that thrive.  Style that stands the test of time and make us feel completely ALIVE.   A healthy mind, body & soul.   An unwavering faith in the One who created it all.  Intense…most definitely, but it is the only way for me.
