Pray. Wait. Wear.

I’m wearing: blazer (thrifted on ebay) similar | sweater | denim

T I M E…There is such significance to this little four letter word.  A blessing or a curse? Or both!?  I guess it all depends on what we make of it.  Although it is easy to perceive time as something we have absolutely no control over, I’m starting to learn that this is not entirely true.  There are many aspects of time we do have an element of control over.  For example, allowing things to unfold slowly, methodically… refraining from forcing creativity…listening to our intuition telling us something is still “cooking” is an element of time we have a degree of control over. We can choose to accept delay and grow while we wait.  We can rest in confidence knowing that something that is meant to be will come to pass in the proper timing.  In God’s timing.  We can choose to spend time flourishing instead of worrying. Less really is more! Quality is far more fulfilling than quantity and quality takes time.   Let’s give ourselves the time we need…in life, in style, in blogging.

This truth has been coming up quite a bit for me lately, and I wanted to share it with you.  When I allow something to unfold without rushing it, it manifests full potential.  It brings satisfaction and gratitude.   As I release myself from the pressure of productivity and externally driven schedules, I experience a deep trust that all will be well.  That all is well.

In terms of style, waiting is crucial.  Wardrobe goals are realized by doing the research, seeking, waiting for the right pieces to cross our path, waiting while we save up for the quality item rather than a less expensive or easier to obtain substitute.  It is hard to go against the grain of this fast paced, competitive society we occupy, but we owe it to ourselves to slow down!
