The sweater you need in your wardrobe!

wearing:  Everlane Alpaca Crew  {current version is lighter pink than the one I’m wearing} |  Levi’s Denim Trucker Jacket {men’s large}  |  Wilfred trousers similar here |  Cuyana Classic Leather  Tote  |  snakeskin embossed booties similar here

Although bright color pops aren’t typical for me, I’m absolutely loving this look.  I think the key for me is to find the right bright pieces and then style them in a way that feels perfect for me.  I’m learning that I never disliked color, I just wasn’t entirely proficient in choosing the best options for me!

Let’s talk about this sweater for a minute or twenty….haha!   It doesn’t matter if you are a neutral girl through and through, or if pops of color make you feel most alive, the Everlane Oversized Alpaca Crew is a must.  It comes in eleven beautiful shades both vibrant and subtle, and trust me…this sweater is perfect!

Everything from the dreamy soft alpaca to the way it falls with almost any choice of bottoms is dreamy.  Oh, and it washes beautifully.  I simple throw it into my washer on the hand wash wool setting, switch the temp to cold {you must use cold water!}, and add some of my favorite wool/cashmere shampoo…then lay flat to dry.  These get softer every time I wash them.  Last spring, I snagged it in this vibrant shade of pink and love it so much that I purchased it in almond and mustard this winter!  Although I don’t think the mustard is really a mustard hue…it is actually more like curry.  No joke, I actually held it up to my curry seasoning and it is the same exact color.  Gorgeous!!

A few things to keep in mind about fit and quality!  The quality is superb.  Although the description says oversized, I wouldn’t call it entirely oversized.  It’s a slightly loose fit.  Definitely oversized in comparison to the Everlane cashmere crew, but not huge once it is washed.  I purchased medium to allow for the slight shrinkage that always occurs when washing knits.  After one wash it fit exactly how I wanted.  I’ve washed each of mine a few times as I described above and there has been no additional shrinkage or decline in “gorgeousness”.  I would say choosing a size depends on how you want it to fit. I usually wear a medium in Everlane sweaters so I stuck with my typical Everlane size.  I don’t care for tight fitting knits or sleeves that are too short. Everlane is phenomenal about returns and exchanges so you could even order two sizes and see which you prefer!  If you love sweaters, I highly recommend this one!
